A new beginning
It has been long since my last post and the time has come to resume my postings and refresh my blog. A lot of things happened last few months, I’ve been really busy working on many different projects, graduate university and the very big step – relocate to London with my family. I have been working with CNSYS for more than 8 years, I learned a lot, became professional and had the great chance to work with so many and different technologies – from HP Business Critical Servers (including HP Superdome), through many storage system and networking, then to the OS (HP-UX or Linux) and finally to the application layer. I regret leaving many friends and great professionals, but that’s life, you must go on. I’ve always wanted to try , being part of good company and working on big Oracle projects in UK, it’s a challenge and big change for all of us. I’ve been lucky to start a job as Principal Database Consultant at e-DBA, great company which is long term and very famous Oracle partner at UK with years of experience and regular award winning partner. It's not only about the company, but also about the people, I had a warm welcome from all of my colleagues and yet they are very friendly and helpful.
I still have several drafts, which I hope to publish in the next few weeks. I also have plans to make something like a book or guide related to Oracle Database and HP Data Protector. I’ve been dealing with it for some many years that it would be better to put everything on one place. I hope to have the time and will to do that. I also hope to face new challenges on my new job and be able to blog or present about them, especially now when I’m working with Exadata.
On the social networking side I've already attended London Oracle Beers (LOB) and met a lot of new (twitter familiar) people and spent great time. Thanks to Doug Burns for inviting me! :) I hope to be able to attend the UKOUG and Oracle organized events during the year and finally attend the User Group Conference (now Technology Conference), BGOUG is in the list as well.
Regards,
Sve
p.s. It's a special day today - Happy Birthday to me and my blog! :)
